Forget the Oscars – if you want to see which stars really earn their fashion stripes, it’s Cannes where they display their true colours. It’s not just one evening for which the A-list have to choose outfit, hair and make-up – it’s an entire week of meticulously styled high profile premieres, parties and yacht-hopping.

This year was one of the best shows yet, as a legion of perfectly groomed A-listers turned out in their finery on film festival’s red carpets.

Here we round up the best – and the worst – that Cannes had to offer.
