So here we are at Day 3 highlights, this is traditionally known as ‘Ladies Day’, when all the glitz and glamour come to Royal Ascot for a day!
Its a great day to be at Ascot, it’s a very special day as everyone really goes all out to impress. There is a very thin line between those who get it right, and it is so right that they shine out from the rest, and unfortunately those who get it wrong on this big day, do so disastrously. Below are highlights of Day 3, where there was a whole host of celebrities including Simon’s crew again!
Each year, the crowds consume some 170,000 bottles of champagne, around 10,000 lobsters, 5,000 oysters and 18,000 punnets of strawberries during the five-day event.
Racing at Ascot dates from 1711 when Queen Anne drove from nearby Windsor Castle with her entourage for a day’s sport organised at her command.

Ladies Day
There have been some pretty impressive outfits already this week, but for Ladies’ Day today, racegoers pulled out all the stops. The fashion that was most common to see in and around the race course was traditional feather and flower decorations were transformed into wildly extravagant millinery, while others took inspiration from more random sources – children’s party balloons and hula hoops among the most random.
