As many of you know we haven’t been blogging for quite a while due to how busy it has been at Ten 8ty Four towers, we were hoping for a small rest over the holidays, however it has been just as busy!
We are back with a bang for 2012 and we have some good news! With LV I don’t think I need to say anymore, it speak for itself! Just to say though Arizona Muse is captured by Mark Segal for the Louis Vuitton Cruise collection 2012 ads.
For many fashionistas, a/w 11 is pretty much done, however as we have not blogged for a few months, however the Hermes 2011 A/W collection is really stunning.
The Autumn/Winter 2011 campaign of Hermes is shot by legendary photographer Nick Knight, featuring Alana Zimmer and Isaac Carew.
The campaign reinterprets the artisan tradition and hand-craft synonymous with Hermès for the twenty-first century.
Congrats go out to Emily Blunt, who is starring in Yves Saint Laurent’s F/W campaign, shot by Patrick Demarchelier, for the fashion house’s iconic Opium fragrance.
Blunt, who follows in the footsteps of Kate Moss and Sophie Dahl, will “unveil a fiery, almost reckless woman with magnetic seduction, that nobody or nothing can resist.”
The star said that she found it “really exciting to embody a fragrance which has stood the test of time without its allure ever being diminished.”
Opium was launched in 1977 and includes notes ranging from mandarin orange, bergamot, lily of the valley, jasmine and myrrh to vanilla, patchouli, and amber.
Well-known for his men’s studded loafers, Christian Louboutin has made significant strides in the expansion of his brand to the male footwear market since adopting the menswear line in 2008. The designer is once again in the headlines for the discreet opening of the brand’s first-ever men’s shop in the Galerie Véro-Dodast in Paris, France.
Having worked together on past brick & mortar outfits, Louboutin enlisted the help of designer Eric Clough to incorporate the store’s studded leather floors and embroidered leather walls. To give the store a masculine appeal, vintage airplane seats, a tin ceiling, and a Star Trek table and chair were assimilated to give the interior a bold distinction from the nearby women’s boutique.
The shop envisions a higher level of customer service by offering a made-to-order service in the abaft area of the store known as the “Tattoo” room. The selection includes shoes with a higher tier price point as well as offering clientele the option to customize their shoes with personalized tattoos for their shoes.
This is brilliant, I have been a massive fan of Moncler since before they hit the UK and got totally used and abused by the public.
Moncler continues to work with Hiroki Nakamura of visvim on the Moncler V Collection for Fall/Winter 2011.
Entitled ‘Himalaya 1977′, the collection sports wonderful wool patterns and showcases again the knowledge and expertise by Nakamura to tell a story with fabrics. Of course you will also find a good amount of outerwear, accessories, great boots and a premium luggage range as part of the collaboration for the coming season. Overall a lot of plaid is used in the collection, thick wool sweaters, patches and the collection has an overall nice vintage vibe.
I like check shirts, even though they have been done to death, I am waiting for the next big fashion trend to happen that will see the masses embrace it like the check shirt…..
Taylor Stitch California Madras Shirts ($125) are perfect for hot summer days. And even though they’re sized like a suit (by chest size), these lightweight shirts are meant to be worn casually — only buttoned-up as much (or as little) as you want. They’re also crafted to have the ideal length for wearing tucked or untucked.
Wearing an iconic Burberry trench coat, Transformers 3 star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley bares almost all for a new Burberry ad.
But she’s not advertising clothes. Burberry is announcing the launch of Burberry Body, and Huntington-Whiteley is the face/body of the fragrance’s ad campaign.
Huntington-Whiteley has a special place in her heart for Burberry. The British fashion house helped launch her to fame in their 2008 campaign when she replaced Agyness Deyn. The scent arrives in stores on Sept. 1.
I know what you are thinking, Summer has just began and we are already posting fashion from Autumn/Winter 2011. however this is how fashion is, in a few weeks the sales shall begin and I am sure if you shop at some luxury stores in the UK the cruise collections from the luxury brands.
I like this collection from henney’s I wonder how much of it we shall actually get in the UK?
I was discussing the attractiveness of Kate Moss on Saturday evening over a glass of whisky and a cigar. Kate for me has always been beautiful and very attractive, however many think she is now past her sell by date and is looking as they call it ‘haggered’. Well if this woman was past her sell by date she wouldn’t still be gracing the covers of Vogue!
